I actually like it better since the new ownership took over I like that they have added tortas. The menu is more simple. it’s cleaner inside the restaurant it’s more pleasing to the eye the inside. I’m glad they got rid of that weird fridge by the booths it was just strange and in the way. The previous waitresses sucked there was like 1 good waitress and she was bogged down all the time I waited all the time for them just to take our order previously. It’s such a nice place to be now. I highly recommend trying the NEW Crystal cafe. I also like ordering at the front because I would wait sometimes a half an hour to order at times because how the setup was and the waitresses sucked.

The “New” Crystal Cafe is just that. New owners, new menu. South of the border focused with Mexican mainstays. The BIg Torta was amazing. it was huge and could easily feed two normal sized adults. But I am not normal sized and enjoyed this delicious sandwich to myself. This is walk up counter service and can be a challenge during busier times. I was there are noon and this is lunch hour. I ordered at the counter and waited about 20 minutes for my sandwich. and the dining space is just that. Tables and chairs with an atmosphere of a fast food restaurant. but the one person working the counter was very nice and my meal was perfect.

I got the chilaquiles and we split the pancakes, everything was awesome! Service was great, chef came out and said hi to us and made sure we liked everything, they mentioned it’s been hard to get people in since they reopened under new ownership, definitely give it a try! Delicious!
